Par le trou de serrure, 1901. Dir. Ferdinand Zecca. (x)
I hate feeding into hypes, but…
Jennifer Lawrence is so incredibly awkward, it’s endearing, and I can’t help but like her.
Nicole Kidman is one of my favorite actresses, and Moulin Rouge is one of my favorite movies. It’s so visually stunning I almost cry, until the end, when I really do cry. I will not watch this movie with someone whose respect I want to keep.
The costumes are so beautiful it hurts.
What it must be like to be Nicole Kidman!
Your eyes where nothing is revealed
Of bitter or sweet,
Are two cold jewels where are mingled
Iron and gold.
To see you walking in cadence
With fine abandon,
One would say a snake which dances
On the end of a staff.

Les Fleurs du Mal
Luna Park, Coney Island, 1905
Before it was destroyed by twin fires in 1945.
It was reopened in 2010.
I love the visuals for this music video, even though being buried alive is about the most frightening thing I can think of.
I would like what her “darker” version is wearing, please.
